My 8 year old son and I began this puzzle at 1 PM and finished at around 5 PM. We used the numbered side, since the printed side had some problems. Some of the printing didn’t align exactly right, making it difficult to tell if the pieces were supposed to go together. Also, some pieces would fit when they weren’t supposed to. Considering also that many pieces had to be snapped together (the fit was that snug) and others were too loose to hold, it was too difficult to do from the printed side alone — especially the vast ocean.
Although there were loose fittings, the globe once finished held up very well without any glue. If one side of a piece did not hold, the other sides did, so that kept it together.
My son did the bottom of the globe and I did the top. We met up in the middle when I realized I needed a hole in the top to get the two halves together. I took the top pieces off my completed work and assembled both halves.
The photo on the site shows a much smoother globe than we got when we finished. The actual globe looks more like a puzzle than what we see on the site, but it’s an impressive puzzle.
The stand was easy to put together and holds the globe well. When I spin the globe quickly, I take care to hold the stand so the globe doesn’t fall over. Also provided is an alternative black plastic dish for a display stand. I like having a spinning globe, so we put it on the wire stand.
My 5 year old daughter thought the globe puzzle was boring. I don’t think it suited her age. I’d recommend it for 8 and up. My son thought it was good fun.

It’s a really nice puzzle, I really don’t regret buying it. But you should know that it doesn’t stay perfectly round. It does stay round, and you can turn and everything, but it’s REALLY difficult to put the pieces exactly how they should stay, so all the pieces won’t stay even. Also the support was a little bit bigger than it should be, so I had to crook it a little, but it worked fine.
Still, I LOVE puzzles and this was certainly the puzzle I had to have at home.

I bouhght this for our 6 year old grandaughter and we had so much fun putting it togther. Thanks goodness the pieces are numbered, obvioulsy it made it much easier. She was very excited and liked seeing the countries come togther. We had no problem with the pieces staying togther and once done it was sprayed so it would stay togther.

The puzzle really helped me learn a bit more of geography, and the numbers on the back helped me do the oceans. The last piece was really hard to get in, and I neared broke all the work I did trying to get it in. It spins well, and looks so much nicer compared to a regular globe.
